Time to expand your musical horizons! I haven’t done one of ‘Sunday’s Classic Track’ updates in a while so I’m long overdue to hit you with another classic. ‘Dump Truck’, by Cobblestone Jazz, is an absolute beauty of a work. Talk about talent and creativity. Timing and creating the right atmosphere is what matters with this kind of minimal jazzy melody. I can see it doing damage at festivals, street parades (speaking of which, here’s a video of Sven Vath playing it live at Street Parade 2006), big outside gatherings and events of such nature. I find it soothing even for personal enjoyment while sitting and relaxing. Voila!

Cobblestone Jazz – Dump Truck

P.S. For those wondering how the party I threw yesterday went, let me tell you, it was beyond successful! We had a great turn-out, place was packed, we had 4 killers set featuring Josh Karmin, Anas Attia, Laki (from Muke & Laki) and myself. I can’t describe how well everything well, and it was a pleasure hosting my friends from Toronto! See you guys back here soon. Here are some photos from last night! I’ll post some videos too when I get my hands on them.
