Reality sucks. :( Really bad. Let me tell you something guys, I have just experienced one of the, if not, the greatest weekend of my entire life. To sum it all up, I went to Detroit Electronic Music Festival, or DEMF. I can’t even even tell you how amazing the experience was. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, click here to check out their official Myspace website with more info, or here to check out some videos from it on Youtube. Everyone knows Techno originated in Detroit, and if you didn’t know that, you know now. And this is their tribute to the roots every year. Big-ass, fucking-crazy festival that unites all electronic music lovers, of all genres, and brings us all together through positive vibes and unbelievable amounts of energy!

Some big names appeared as you can see on Myspace, including some of my personal favorites, Magda, Dubfire, Mark Farina, Speedy J, and Richie Hawtin, whom I even had a chance to meet and record a video with!!! I felt like a little kid in a candy store… I am still in shock! I went to DEMF on Sunday and Monday, and it is Thursday as I’m writing this, 2:50am, and I feel somewhat recovered, to a point anyway, where I am rested enough to blog again. Nuts! This was my first time going, and let me tell you, it was a life-changing experience. Next year, I am definitely going all 3 days and getting a VIP pass so I will be able to hook you up with exclusive photos, videos, perhaps even interviews among other interesting info.

As a tribute to seeing some of my favorite artists perform right in front of me, I feel obliged to pay a little respect and grace you with a couple of wonderful, classic tracks that are reminiscing of the weekend I just witnessed and can’t stop talking about! Yeah, coming back to reality sucks… however, enjoy the music!

Steve Bug & Richie Hawtin – A Night Like This (A Night Like That Remix)

Magda – 48 Hour Crack In Your Bass

P.S. Here’s a video of me I found on Youtube of grooving to some Magda tunes during one of the events. (I’m the tall white guy at the right-hand side in beginning of video with my hands in the air the whole time.. being 2 meters tall is helpful sometimes :P). And also, here’s another one of our beautiful Magda.

Greetings all! I have a wonderful tune for you today, and it’s coming to us from Italian duo of producers: Dandi & Ugo. They did a remix of Francesco Rossi’s “Ibiza Dream” tune, and let me tell you, it’s minimal at it’s finest. It’s such a fun little tune to play and spice-up the atmosphere, it works wonders! Trust me when I tell you this. Make sure you show your support if you like this track and purchase it on Beatport. Until next time.. ;)

Francesco Rocci – Ibiza Dream (Dandi & Ugo Remix)

To show you my appreciation for your support, I am giving you another AMAZING track in the same day, just because I admire your constant dedication so much! :) This time, it’s a classic! Originally released in 1998, this one will have people going crazy in the club, no question about it, especially when the part “I WAS IN ECCSTASYYYYY” kicks in followed by that heavy bass. Don’t believe me? See how it sounds live by clicking here. Goosebumps or what? Laurent Garnier is a veteran producer/DJ who knows how to deliver quality tracks, and this one is considered to be one of his best releases up-to-date.

Laurent Garnier – Coloured City (Original Mix)

First of all, a big apology to you guys for not uploading a blog recently. I have been extremly busy with different things, my family came to visit from Europe for few weeks and you know every moment spent with family is an important one! On a more positive note, I have gotten a hold of lot of new tracks that I will publish in this blog, and let me tell you, EVERY SINGLE ONE IS FANTASIQUE!! Trust me when I tell you this.. ;)

Now onto today’s song, it is coming from a young producer from Greece who goes by the name of “Lemos”. You can visit his Myspace by clicking here. His sound is very melodic and unique, I can’t really think of another producer that I could compare this guy with! The track I’m giving you is called “Blow it”, and it has gotten absolutely crazy buzz! It is a big banger for sure and will attract a lot of attention from other DJs and promoters as time goes by… Crazy, crazy track! Here is a video of Magda playing this track live at Timewrap 2008 and you can tell it tore up the roof! Enjoy!

Lemos – Blow It (Original Mix)

P.S. Again, thank you for your support in time of my absence, I promise I will keep bringing you these crazy songs that you will adore! :)

Ricardo Villalobos is one of the most respected minimal DJs out there today. His style is distinct and very unique. He can often be seen doing shows with Richie Hawtin, among other mnml freaks out there (Luciano, Raresh, to name a few). He is a veteran and a true performer. The track I’m giving you today is the newest work of Ricardo, and it’s called “Enfants”. I see this more of a DJ tool than an actual track. Great for switch-ups between songs and blending in. Enjoy.
